Best Rap Songs To Workout To

Nujabees – Battlecry

For all you anime fans out there, Nujabees wrote the exceptional sound track for the very popular yet short lived anime Samurai Champloo. And we have to say that the result gave birth to a cult classic. The production of the original soundtrack is largely compiled of more chillwawe songs, but their first entry is simply a, well, battlecry. The lyrics and the song makes for an amazing back n forth style, that is normally seen in blues.

Beastie Boys – Intergalactic

Who hasn’t heard of Beastie Boys. Their long career provided for a number of classic tunes from “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)” to “Sabotage” . Alongside writting some of the most classic rap lyrics they also had an amazing production. No wonder Eminem calls them an inspiration.

Best Hip Hop Workout Songs

Spark Master Tape – Pinata

One of the shortest entries, with little over 2 minuets, Spark Master Tape’s Pinata is simply pumped up. Although nobody really knows who Spark Master Tape is, one thing is for sure, he and his production team are simply amazing. If you haven’t had the chance to listen to him yet, then don’t waste anymore time. Add him to your playlist and see what happens. We also recommend listening to Propeica or Hanson Brothers for some really dope workout tunes.

Madchild – Monster

The “greatest breathing fire dragon alive” hits our list of best workout songs. Originating from Canada, Madchild remains one of the best underground hip hop artist. Regardless of the fact that he was banned from the U.S.A. for four years, Madchild continued touring and gained more and more popularity with each passing year. After a career of more than 20 years, the artist has an impressive array of songs. A difficult task indeed to pick just one song, Madchild’s “Monster” is simply one of those tunes that work really well in the gym.

Best Rock Workout Songs

Queens of the Stone Age – Go With the Flow

Queens of the Stone Age is simply one of the last few remaining true rock bands in the modern era. Their vaste repertoire provided countless classic tunes. It was a particularly difficult mission to point down a best workout song of theirs, simply because they have too many. Nevertheles, we decided to choose one of their more earlier releases for this mission.

Orange Goblin – Rage of Angels

What a pumped up rock workout song? Try Orange Goblin’s “Rage of Angels”. This powerful stoner/desert rock song is one worth listening at the gym. Fast, edgy with a harsh voice, good for scaring old christian ladies, what can you ask more?

Best Dubstep Workout Songs

Pendulum – Painkiller

Ever since Pendulum came to the U.K. all those years ago, they conquered the world of dubstep. Alongside many unforgetable tunes such as Tarantula, Pendulum gave birth to some really kick ass workout songs. It was a particularly difficult decision to make out of their impressive repertoire, however, we felt that Painkiller really hits the spot. So hit the gym while listening to this for a real adrenaline rush.

Borgore – Saturaday Night

If you have been born in the last two decades, most probably you have heard of Borgore. The artist stormed the world with some of the best dubstep tunes and this addition is no exception. Although it ranges a bit different from classic dubstep tunes, the song simply provides an adrenaline rush that few songs can match.

DJ Lexxmatiq – Cocaina

Want a pumped up song? Try “Cocaina”. Many argue on whether it is house, dance or dubstep. But that doesn’t matter right? What matters is that DJ Lexxmatiq gave an excellent workout song that would make even the most christian person shout out cocaine.

Best Metal Workout Songs

Fu Manchu – King of the Road

If you are a fan of metal, or stoner/dessert rock such as us, then this addition is for you. Fu Manchu’s “King of the Road” can make even the most shy person bang his head. Originating as a punk rock band in mid 80’s, the band did quite a well transition to stoner rock. We definetly had to include this tune into our best workout songs list.

Rage Against the Machine – Know Your Enemy

What a difficult task we had to choose just one Rage Against the Machine song. A band sinonimos with energetic live performances, harsh yet true lyrics, you can either love this band or hate it. It is too bad that the low sales of “Renegades of Funk” album aided the dissolution of the band. How many groups out there show their respect to their influences by compiling an album made of covers? Altough the members continued on in groups such as Audioslave or One Day as a Lion, one thing is for sure, their immense talent gave birth to a number of classic anthems.

Best Dance Workout Songs

Crystal Fighters – I Love London

Originating from Spain, but formed in, you guessed it, London, the Crystal Fighters is one of those bands hard to point down to a single genre. Their immense talent from making cute quorky indie songs such as “Plage”all the way to upbeat jams such as “I Love London” created an immense fan base, spawning continents. We definetly wish to see more of them.

Gramatik – Hit that Jive

What can be said here. Gramatik is one of this generations best dj’s, his style ranging from hip hop, electro and dubstep. However the amazing sample of Cab Calloway and the Nicholas Brothers “Jumpin Jive” makes this workout song fall under our dance category. One of the best workout songs for women, especially. We surely hope to see more of this promising young artist.

Best Indie Workout Songs

Peter, Bjorn & John – Lay it Down

This song can either bring abut melancholy or push you to dance. Peter, Bjorn & John are regarded as some of the best musicians out there for their incredible production value. Although many may seem surprised that a band that generally released low-beat songs can make an upbet workout song.

Best Workout Songs of All Time

Survivor – Eye of the Tiger

A song synonymous in popular culture with working out, the “Eye of the Tiger” has been showcased in countless movies and tv shows. And why not? It is a song perfect for striving forward despite all odds, what better way to increase one’s motivation. Running has never been more fun on this motivational song.

Soundgarden – Rusty Cage

An already classic rock workout song, Soundgarden’s “Rusty Cage” is one of those songs able to push you one step further. So when you feel you’ve reached your limits yet you find yourself still pushing forward, try listening to this song. It might do wonders.

M.I.A. – Bring the Noize

M.I.A. gave us an instant classic. And what a tune it is. Full of drops and with an extatic beat, “Bring the Noize” is even a popular song in cardio workouts. Techno has been used to describe it, yet we find it hard to classify it into a genre.

Azealia Banks ft. Lazy Jay – 212

Azealia Banks really reminds us of those 80’s upbeat workout songs with this one. There was no country in the world that wasn’t swept away by this song. It’s hardcore, with techno beats and let’s not even get started on the lyrics.

So there you have it, our best workout songs list. We hope that some of these jams will make it into your playlists.
